| So on what kind of hardware are you guys (and gals) running EVE on? I'm getting a new computer tomorrow! I actually have all the components (technically, just need to fetch CPU and GPU from the local comp store) but I have been away from home couple of days so I haven't had the time to assemble my new system. It'll have the following: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Abit IX38 QuadGT motherboard 4 GB of RAM Point of View Geforce 9800GTX 750 GB HDD All housed in an Antec Three Hundred case. I just hope the GPU fits in there... Can't wait to get my hands on it and try some of the more recent hit games. |

| Well... AMD Athlon™ X2 Dual Core Processor BE-2300 ECS GeForce6100SM-M Motherboard(MicroATX) 2 GB of Dual Channel 6400 Patriot RAM EVGA 7600GS (Plan to upgrade to 9600GT sometime) 200GB Maxtor HDD All fits an a case not on the makers website, but is a full tower case from Antec iirc
After I start my businees I hope I'll get the $ to build a compy w/ Extreme SLI capabilities(aka at least 2*9800GX2 cards 0.o). So then I can run EVE at super settings ^^
>>>Dream Computer<<< Intel Core 2 Qiad Extreme QX9775 EVGA 132-CK-NF79-A1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 790i Ultra SLI DDR3 ATX 8 GB OCZ Reaper HPC 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1800 (PC3 14400) Dual Channel Memory Quad SLI from 2*9800GX2 3 GB HDD(3*1TB SATA HDD) All wraped up in an Antec Twelve Hundred

EVE doesn't require that much. I can already run it with max settings. |

| Me? I got a MacBook and a MacBook Pro The MB struggles a bit with framerate in missions but is fine for mining. The MBPro works fine. Pf | |

EVE doesn't require that much. I can already run it with max settings. Yeah, but I have a few other games I'd like to run at higher FPS:D

IMHO, XP is OK - there are better OS's depending on your task at hand. Vista, as you say, is a mess. A big, huge stinking OMFG how did they manage to screw it that badly mess. Pf

| I was fixing my neighbours computer, and if there's anything worse its vista on a laptop, especially one of those ones that are ultra-touch sensitive and click instead of move the pointer when you dont start draging fast enough, i seriously spent about 20 minutes JUST finding the control panel attempt after attempt of it shtting all the submenu's cause i opened something and it wasnt what i wanted =/ | |

| Wow, my first post... Anyway, I recently upgraded* my GPU and RAM to collectively have this:... CPU: AMD Athlon Dual Core FX-62 2.8GHZ MoBo: ABIT NF-M2S Socket AM2 Storage: 350GB Western Digital SATA HDD PSU: PowerUp! 500-Watt Cooling: Cooler Master Hyper TX-2 *GPU: Palit Geforce 9600 GT w/1 GB DDR3 *RAM: Dual Channel OCZ SLI 1GB Sticks (2x1GB) All inside a Ultra X-Blaster ATX case decked out with 4 120mm Case Fans (I don't take chances ) Anyway, that's what I got, and can handle anything I've thrown at it (including Crysis) Looking to upgrade to a larger, or additional HDD, but at the moment... Am finally content. | |

| Is Palit a good brand? I've never really heard of them before, but I'd like to know before I upgrade to a 9600GT. I'm thinking about going for an MSI model. | |

| So far, my GPU made by Palit is amazing. Better than I hoped for, this thing has changed how my PC runs games in every way. I'm very pleased with Palit, and would recommend any time (they also have good reviews from others, which determined me purchasing it) In station, i see around 240-255 FPS, and in combat i get around 150-200. It's already overclocked, and runs cool (around 43 C at a fair load) The only con I can think of is its size, it's gigantic Sound isn't bad at all, so just make sure you have room. | |

| What's the price of GF8800s these days? Because if I recall correctly the older 8800s are better than the new 9600GTs. You should look into that, Xanathan.
Oh, and my FPS? Not sure, I'll check it Friday when I go back to my apartment again. |

Yeah, tell me about it.. My card almost didn't fit to my case. I did not realize that when I bought the case. If the card had been even half a centimer longer it wouldn't have fitted in the case. And the power demands on these new cards are just.. amazing. Mine requires two of those 6-pin 12-volt power lines from PSU. |

| I myself just built together my computer (after having my low life single core AMD processor fry, taking the mobo with it.)
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 @ 2.5GHz (may overclock it to ~3.2GHz) Motherboard: EVGA nVidia 780i Power Supply: Ultra 550W Video Card: XFX 8500GT (gonna try and get me one of those new 280's) RAM: 4GB @ 1066MHz Patriot Memory Hard Drive: 320GB Western Digital Sound Card: Creative Labs Soundblaster Audigy LE, 24-bit 7.1 Surround Monitor: Some crappy HP 15" LCD
Planning on, as i said, getting me a much higher end graphics card, and hopefully a much better, widescreen monitor
